Learn to juggle. Celebrate Arabic culture. Sing your heart out. With more than 350 student organizations at Mason, there are so many ways for students to find their niches,聽, and meet new friends in the process. Our student groups are responsible for many of the programs and events on campus each year and contribute to lively, engaged campus community.
Is Fraternity and Sorority Life for you?
The Greeks have been a part of Mason since day one, starting with just two fraternities and one sorority. Now it鈥檚 grown to聽聽with a diverse student group of more than 1,700 who are active contributors and participants in the Mason community.
Get the words out.
Have your own radio show on WGMU, write a column for the Fourth Estate student newspaper聽or edit one of our literary journals. There are plenty of opportunities to try your hand in the various聽聽available on campus. It can even help beef up your resume.
Be the change.
Want to make a difference? Mason鈥檚 Student Government serves the student body in a variety of ways. This year alone, they:
- Implemented a聽
- Made our spirit-based programming bigger and better than ever
- Pushed for gender identity and expression to be included in聽
- Sat as student representatives on more than 50 university committees
Each January, Student Government organizes Mason Lobbies Day, which takes more than 100 students, alumni, faculty and staff to the State Capitol in Richmond to lobby for higher education funding.
